Today I just renewed the domain name InflatableJacket.Com. Initially this name is registered under Name.Com, but it is now pending transfer to my GoDaddy account.

Why did I renew this domain?

• This is a niche generic product name with 51,100 exact searches

• Inflatable jacket is one of the life support equipment required to be present in both water and air transport vehicles.
• The plural name InflatableJackets(dot)Com is taken and currently park in Parked.
• It generates some money being parked (currently in WhyPark, I also use other parking providers before), even tough it still has not covered its registration fee.

• It has gained some traffic based on the data generated from Valuate.Com

On top of that, my gut feeling tells me that this name still has lots of potential that can be monetized, that's why I decide I keep this name.

If you read my previous post in this blog, you probably know that I use WhyPark to monetize most of my domain names. As for the earnings, I have received my second earning from WhyPark several weeks ago. While the sum is not much, it's good that I can earn more and faster from WhyPark compare with other parking providers (Well, at least for my case, individual results may vary).

While checking my WhyPark account last Thursday (10/29), I was surprised that I found my earning increase quite significantly. There is an additional $4 in my account, $4.19 to be exact. 

I immediately looked closer at my domain names stats and found that it is generated by 1 click from domain name PaperboardBox.Com.

If you look at the stats, this website does not really get much traffic, but once the visitor click at the ads (I use WhyPark ads), the earning is significantly jump.

As for the name itself, it is a generic product name, with exact results of 37,500.

I believe that this domain name has great potential if developed properly, considering its quite high ads payout ($4). Using the right resources, the end user can transform the domain name PaperboardBox.Com to become a powerful B to B website that will attract both potential buyers and sellers in the paper related industry.

Most of my close friends know that I'm a fan of S.H.E, the Asian girl band from Taiwan. My interest in them started during my stay in Singapore, and being populate with mostly ethnic Chinese, most Singaporeans are fans of Mandarin artists, one of them are S.H.E.

One of S.H.E members who I like most is Hebe Tian, but sometimes it is also written Hebe Tien, due to the similarity in the pronounciation between Tian and Tien (the Hanyu Pinyin of Mandarin). So when I encountered the domain name HebeTien.Com available, I immediately registered it. BTW, the domain HebeTian.Com is currently on parking page, showing S.H.E CDs, DVDs, and other related items as the advertisements.

Intially I used several parking providers for this HebeTien.Com domain name, but most of them did not show relevant "content". Lastly I put it on my WhyPark account, and still most of the time it did not show relevant contents, but it still generated quite a traffic due to its popular name. I realized that I will not be able to monetize on its traffiic if I solely rely on the parking provider.

After I learned how to create the WordPress blog (this blog is the first serious blog I create), I plan to put this name on WordPress platform. Finally I had the time to put this name on WordPress recently.

The most time spent was to find the proper template, and find this great one here. Played around a littile bit and made several adjustments, to make it more suitable for its use.

Currently I have posted several articles which mostly taken from other S.H.E related forum, and more contents are already scheduled using the WordPress great scheduler tools.

While I myself still learning about creating proper website, I will put this experience to develop my other potential domain names…..

Having used its service a while ago, during my Ebay domain selling days, I actually quite interested in finding out more about what’s offered by this Estibot v2.0.

I played a little bit  around with the new features and personally feel that this new site is much better than the old Estibot version.

Just try with yourself  and I’m sure you can make use of this site for most of your domaining activities.

I have been quite busy these few weeks due to my day job routines and other activities, so I didn’t have much time to update this blog until today.

As far as for my domaining activity, I actually have several ideas in developing some of the domain names I own.

One of the ideas crossed my mind is by having an affiliate online store type of websites, mainly for my product domain names. I’ve read the related posting about this here, but maybe I will try to do it myself by using the WordPress platform. The reason why I want to do it myself, I can learn new things along the way, but it may require more time and effort, especially since I do it for the first time.

Well, I will share about this development project later, once I have finished it for one of the domain names.
